The Skinny on Pigs:

Pigs are curious, rambunctious and fun animals. Given half a chance, they will investigate anything in reach with their powerful snouts, and it’s a goal of ours to give them as much opportunity as possible to do just that. Not only does this make for some pretty happy pigs, the variety in the diet of all the plants, grubs and roots they eat makes for especially tasty pork.

How to Root Up Some Chops:

We sell most of our animals by the half or whole.  If you buy a half or whole pig, you can choose to have it butchered however you like.  If that sounds daunting, we have a standard package of chops, sausage, bacon and a some ham that you can request.

We sell half pigs for a flat rate of $265 plus butchering – animal size varies a little but the finished cost per pound works out to less than $4.455/lb (for bacon, sausage and chops, we think it’s a great deal). Here’s how it works: you pay us for the animal and Martin’s Custom Butchering in Wakarusa for the processing – about $85/half (varies a few dollars based on weight) for a total cost of about $350 for a half pig which gives you about 80 pounds of pork to eat.

If that sounds at all complicated, please Contact Us.  It’ll be simple.
